bearing highly were found
to be corroded, probably
from years of sitting around.

The cylinder head.  It was
hot-rodded by a 1/4 miler
specialist from the
midwest.  They had done
a nice job welding on the
intake spigots, but  the
single coil valve spring
setup looked
questionable.
The pistons had been scarred
from being hammered by the
intake valves.  Time for a
rebuild....
